Multiple studies have demonstrated that higher employee engagement leads to better overall operational performance.  With over 61,000 employees, a heavy reliance on traditional employee communications channels and a lack of accountability and consistency in messaging to frontline workers, Northwell Health was struggling to engage its employees and in turn, saw low patient satisfaction scores. Northwell Health is on a journey to become a best place to work. Over the past 3+ years, they have made significant changes and has nearly doubled its employee engagement percentile position in the health care industry and increased patient satisfaction scores in key facilities.

 

This session will connect the relationship between employee engagement, patient satisfaction and operational performance, giving insight to attendees on how to:

 

  • Initiate new hire orientation to drive culture and engagement
  • Leverage digital tools to enhance employee engagement while maintaining critical face-to-face interaction
  • Coordinate internal and external branding campaigns to maximize impact amongst multiple audiences including leaders, clinicians and non-clinicians
